About the Opportunity
Hollingsgate is proud to be representing a reputable Canadian banking client
in their search for a Senior Cloud Identity and Access Management (IAM) Specialist. This is a high-impact role for someone with deep technical expertise in multi-cloud security and IAM governance.
As the successful candidate, you’ll help assess, implement, and enhance IAM controls across major platforms—AWS, GCP, Azure, and Microsoft Entra ID (formerly Azure AD)—to help strengthen the organization’s cloud security posture.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct detailed IAM security assessments across cloud platforms to identify risks and recommend improvements
- Design and implement policies for identity lifecycle management, least privilege, and role-based access controls
- Lead initiatives related to Just-In-Time access, Privileged Access Workstations (PAW), and cloud security posture management (CSPM)
- Monitor identity-related security alerts and events, helping to detect and respond to anomalies
- Automate monitoring and provisioning tasks using tools like PowerShell or Python
- Maintain and evolve IAM architecture documentation, standards, and procedures
- Partner cross-functionally with engineering, operations, and security teams to enforce secure practices
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in IT security, with 3+ years specifically focused on cloud IAM
- Proven hands-on experience with AWS IAM, GCP IAM, Microsoft Entra ID, and Azure RBAC
- Strong understanding of identity governance principles, zero trust, and least privilege frameworks
- Experience with cloud security assessment tools and automation scripting (PowerShell, Python, etc.)
- Familiarity with compliance frameworks such as SOC2, ISO 27001, NIST
- Experience with Privileged Access Management (PAM) tools and identity lifecycle management
- Proficient in authentication protocols such as OAuth 2.0, SAML, and OIDC
