About the Role
Hollingsgate Recruitment is representing a reputable and fast-growing technology company that is seeking an experienced Sales Manager to lead its Account Management team and drive revenue growth across both new client acquisition and account expansion.
This is a fully remote leadership role focused on building a structured sales function, improving operational efficiency, and driving monthly recurring revenue (MRR). The Sales Manager will mentor Account Managers, oversee commission reporting and sales administration, and implement a scalable sales plan designed to strengthen client relationships, streamline operations, and expand the company’s footprint within the MSP market across Canada.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead & Develop the Sales Team – Coach, motivate, and manage remote Account Managers responsible for both hunting and farming functions.
  • Drive Revenue Growth – Create and execute sales strategies that increase MRR, expand service adoption, and reduce client churn.
  • Sales Operations & Reporting – Oversee CRM accuracy, commission reports, and performance dashboards to ensure transparency and accountability.
  • Pipeline & Forecasting – Manage sales funnel activity, ensuring consistent lead flow, accurate forecasting, and goal attainment.
  • Vendor & Partner Collaboration – Coordinate with technology vendors to plan joint marketing initiatives, virtual client events, and partner enablement programs.
  • Transition & Process Planning – Lead structured onboarding, process documentation, and territory planning for remote sales operations.
  • Strategic Execution – Translate company goals into actionable sales strategies with measurable performance outcomes.
  • Sales Administration – Ensure administrative efficiency across the sales function, allowing reps to focus on prospecting and client engagement.
  • Performance Leadership – Build a culture of accountability, collaboration, and success within a geographically distributed sales team.

Qualifications & Experience
  • 7+ years of progressive sales experience in Managed IT Services (MSP), VAR, or related technology sectors.
  • 2+ years in a sales leadership or team lead role managing Account Managers or Business Development teams.
  • Proven ability to build and lead remote teams and maintain high engagement and accountability.
  • Strong understanding of MSP offerings: managed IT, cybersecurity, cloud, backup/disaster recovery, and help desk services.
  • Demonstrated success driving MRR/ARR growth, retention, and new logo acquisition.
  • Experience with CRM tools such as Autotask, HubSpot, or Salesforce.
  • Skilled in sales forecasting, pipeline management, and KPI reporting.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to lead virtually.
  • Organized, analytical, and highly self-driven.
