Hollingsgate Recruitment is representing a reputable and well-established veterinary compounding pharmacy in Aurora, Ontario that is seeking an experienced and personable Pharmacist – Veterinary Compounding Clinic Liaison to join their team. This organization specializes in preparing customized medications for veterinary patients and works closely with veterinary clinics to deliver tailored pharmaceutical solutions. This role combines pharmaceutical compounding expertise with strong relationship management. The successful candidate will serve as the primary pharmacist contact for veterinarians and veterinary technicians, helping guide prescription processing, compounding requirements, and medication solutions for animal patients. Unlike traditional pharmacy roles, this position does not involve serving the general public. Instead, the pharmacist works directly with veterinary clinics and industry professionals, providing specialized pharmaceutical support in a collaborative and professional environment.

Key Responsibilities
Veterinary Prescription Management
• Receive and review prescriptions submitted by veterinarians and veterinary clinics
• Interpret veterinary prescriptions and ensure accuracy and regulatory compliance
• Communicate directly with veterinarians and veterinary technicians regarding medication requirements and formulation options
Compounding Oversight
• Oversee and support the preparation of veterinary compounded medications
• Ensure proper formulation, dosage accuracy, and quality standards
• Maintain compliance with regulatory requirements and best practices in compounding
Veterinary Clinic Relationship Management
• Serve as the primary liaison between the pharmacy and veterinary clinics
• Build and maintain strong relationships with veterinarians and veterinary technicians
• Provide knowledgeable guidance regarding compounded medication options
• Deliver responsive and professional service to veterinary partners
Operational Responsibilities
• Review and process incoming veterinary prescriptions submitted through email, phone, and online systems
• Ensure accurate entry and documentation of new compounded prescriptions within internal pharmacy systems
• Maintain clear and timely communication with veterinary clinics regarding prescription details and medication requirements
• Support ongoing relationships with veterinary clinics by providing responsive and reliable service
Industry Engagement
• Occasionally represent the organization at veterinary conferences or trade shows
• Support relationship development within the veterinary community

Qualifications
Required
• Licensed Pharmacist eligible to practice in Ontario
• Strong knowledge or experience in pharmaceutical compounding
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Client-facing personality with the ability to build professional relationships
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Preferred
• Experience in veterinary pharmacy or animal health
• Previous experience in a compounding pharmacy environment
• Comfort working in a relationship-driven healthcare environment
Training & Onboarding
A structured 3–4-month onboarding and training period will be provided to ensure the successful candidate becomes fully familiar with veterinary prescriptions, compounding processes, and clinic relationships.
