They are seeking a strategic and hands-on Director of Accounting & Finance to lead all aspects of financial operations, reporting, and planning.
Position Overview
This remote leadership role is responsible for full-cycle accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial strategy. The right candidate will bring a blend of strategic vision and operational execution, with experience leading small finance teams and working cross-functionally.

Oversees a small team including accounting and finance professionals.
Technology Stack:
QuickBooks Enterprise experience is required.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Leadership & Strategic Planning
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning.
- Analyze financial performance, identify trends, and present insights to the CEO and executive team.
- Develop financial models and reports to support strategic decision-making.
- Identify opportunities for profit improvement, cost control, and operational efficiency.
Full-Cycle Accounting & Compliance
- Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, reconciliations, and month-end/year-end close.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and tax regulations.
- Oversee audits, tax filings, and banking relationships.
- Establish and enforce internal controls and financial governance practices.
Operational Finance & Process Optimization
- Refine financial reporting processes and implement best practices.
- Strengthen forecasting and cash flow models.
- Collaborate with other departments to align budgeting and cost management with business goals.
Team Leadership & Cross-Functional Support
- Lead, coach, and mentor the finance team.
- Partner with Sales, HR, and Operations to drive financial accountability and support business initiatives.
- Contribute to strategic initiatives such as M&A, pricing strategy, and vendor evaluations.
Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA or MBA preferred.
Experience:
- Minimum of 7+ years of progressive experience in accounting and finance.
- At least 3 years in a leadership or director-level role.
- Proven experience in full-cycle accounting, financial planning, and analysis.
- Industry Experience: Experience in hard goods is required — ideally within promotional products, manufacturing, e-commerce, or distribution sectors.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in QuickBooks Enterprise is required. Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial compliance. Advanced Excel skills and experience with financial modeling and reporting tools.
