Key Responsibilities:
- Present complex financial data in a clear, concise, and actionable format to executives and stakeholders
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, and reporting with a focus on accuracy and transparency
- Manage full-cycle accounting operations, including AP, AR, general ledger, and month-end close
- Ensure compliance with ASPE, tax regulations, and internal governance standards
- Strengthen and maintain internal controls and financial systems to safeguard assets
- Monitor key financial performance metrics and provide recommendations based on trends and variances
- Develop and implement capital planning and financing strategies aligned with company goals
- Drive risk management practices to mitigate financial exposure
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing finance team
- Collaborate cross-functionally to improve financial processes and promote a culture of accountability and innovation
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA designation required
- Minimum 6 years of progressive finance and accounting experience, including at least 3 years in a leadership role
- Real estate development industry experience is a must
- Strong knowledge of ASPE and Canadian regulatory requirements
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Excellent strategic thinking, communication, and interpersonal skills
- High proficiency with financial software and Microsoft Office Suite
